DALLE NEBBIE DEL TEMPO... 

Nel 1988 Lord Vampyr fondò i Sepolcrum. Dopo il terzo demo, i Sepolcrum cambiarono nome in VII Arcano, e dopo aver completato l'album Gather My Blood Forever (1994), il gruppo si sciolse per un periodo, e Lord Vampyr fondò i Theatres des Vampires, mentre i VII Arcano riunitisi, cambiarono stile (Thrash Metal).

Il gruppo si mostrò da subito affascinato dal vampirismo e da tutto ciò che ne risulta connesso, al punto di definire il proprio stile: "vampiric metal". Essi crearono un'immagine coerente alla loro affinità sia nelle performance "Live" che nei testi che nell'atmosfera delle loro liriche, assistendo alla crescita impressionante del numero dei loro Fans.

Durante la loro carriera, i TDV si orientarono inizialmente sul Symphonic Black Metal, fino ad includere vari stili derivanti da svariate influenze (Musica Classica, Opera, Darkwave, Deathrock, Gothic Rock e vari sottogeneri Industrial).

In ogni caso, nonostante l'affacciarsi di diverse influenze, alcune caratteristiche del sound iniziale furono mantenute: liriche ed atmosferiche malinconiche, Voci in stile Gothic Metal, immagine Vampirica.

Il gruppo ha prodotto 10 albums in 10 anni (Plastic Head), raggiungendo una grande visibilità nella scena Metal Europea, in Sud America e in Russia, ed in tutte le zone dove hanno partecipato a Festival ed iniziative di vario genere (Vampyria III a Londra nel 1999, Gods of Metal in Italia nel 2000, Wave-Gotik-Treffen a Leipzig nel 2003 e nel 2006, Gotham a Londra nel 2004, e il Female Voices Festival a Wieze in Belgio nel 2006).

Nel 2003, il gruppo è stato in Tour in Europa con i Christian Death, registrando un album in collaborazione con Valor (Christian Death) e Gian Pyres (Cradle of Filth) come Special Guests.

Tra il 2004 e il 2007 Alessandro Nunziati ha lavorato a molti progetti, tra cui: Cain, Shadowsreign e Nailed God fino a tornare nel 2008 al suo progetto iniziale (Lord Vampyr) con una Lineup quasi interamente rinnovata (release dell'album "Carpathian Tragedies" ).

Sempre nel 2008, Lord Vampyr inaugurò un Tour in Messico, per un totale di oltre 20 date suddivise in due parti per motivi logistici e di organizzazione dei locali. Nel 2009 il gruppo ha firmato con la Crushing Balls Records, per l'uscita e la distribuzione del nuovo album Horror Masterpiece (15 Marzo 2010).  

ALL'OSCURITA' DEL PRESENTE...

 Lord Vampyr (Alessandro Nunziati - Black Metal vocalist), dopo l'addio ai Theatres des Vampires è ancora nel Metal Estremo come: Lord Vampyr.

Il suo stile è vicino al Symphonic Black Metal con influenze e liriche Gothic, e tematiche vampiriche.

Gli altri membri del gruppo sono: Lady Noir (Vocals), Seth 666 (Guitar), Aerioch (Bass), Endymion (Keyboards), Aeternus (Drums).

FROM THE MISTS OF TIME... 

In 1988 Lord Vampyr found the band Sepolcrum. After the third demo, they became VII Arcano. After “Gather My Blood Forever” released (1994), the band split, and Lord Vampyr founded Theatres des Vampires, while VII Arcano, changed their style into Thrash Metal.

The members of band expressed fascination with vampires and anything connected to them, earning themselves and their music the title "vampiric metal" from their contemporaries. The band created a coherent image of vampirism in their stage performance and within the lyrical themes, atmospheres of their music, which contributed heavily to the gaining of their fanbase.

During their career, the band was first influenced by symphonic black metal, but later they include different influences like classical music, opera, darkwave, deathrock, gothic rock and several industrial subgenres.

Throughout this stylistic deviation, a few characteristics of their music are remained consistent; lyrics and melancholic atmospheres, vocal styles near to gothic metal, and their vampiric image.

The band has produced 10 albums in 10 years with the English label Plastic Head, and has gained more recognition within the metal scene in Europe, South America and Russia, partially due at their participation in various festivals around the world. These include Vampyria III in London in 1999, Gods of Metal in Italy in 2000, Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig in 2003 and in 2006, Gotham in London in 2004, and Female Voices Festival in Wieze, Belgium in 2006.

In 2003 the band was in tour throughout Europe with Christian Death, and recorded an album with the collaboration of Valor (Christian Death) and Gian Pyres (Cradle of Filth) as special guests.

Between  2004 and 2007, Alessandro Nunziati has worked on several projects: Cain, Shadowsreign Nailed God and then to return to his main project in 2008 and then back with a new band (released of the album "Carpathian Tragedies"), hereinafter the band went on tour (Mexico), that took place in two parts for a total of about 20 shows. In 2009 signed a contract with a new American label (Crushing Balls Records), the new album will be released March 15, 2010.

 

 

TO THE PRESENT DARKNESS...

 Lord Vampyr (Alessandro Nunziati - Italian Black Metal vocalist), after splitting from Theatres des Vampyres is still in Extreme Metal Music as Lord Vampyr himself.

His style is similar to the style of his former band, a Symphonic black metal with strong Gothic metal influences, lyrics and vampirism thematics.

The other members of the band are: Lady Noir (vocals), Seth 666 (guitar), Aerioch (bass), Endymion (keyboards), Aeternus (drums).
